Community Members

Healthy Minds | Healthy Campuses (HM|HC) is a Community of Practice (CoP) that has engaged campus members from across British Columbia. Community members include: student service professionals and other staff, students, faculty and administrators. All community members share the common goal of promoting campus mental health and healthier relationships with substances at BC colleges, universities and institutes. Members range in their level of involvement from supporters to sharers, developers and active agenda setters, depending on their interests and availability over time. Community members share their own experiences, discuss strategies they have tried, consider new ideas and share resources. HM|HC facilitates dialogue and action among members of the Community of Practice and is also keen to work with government partners and community organizations supportive of campus-based initiatives. When you join or collaborate with our community, you gain access to a network of earnest people across the province!

Community Friends

Healthy Minds | Healthy Campuses recognizes that various agencies not campus-based are keen to support mental health in the post-secondary setting. The community of practice welcomes collaboration with such friends who are willing to come alongside and work in a concerted manner with local campuses to promote well-being in ways that are consistent with HM|HC commitments and appropriate for specific contexts of opportunity and need. HM|HC also appreciates the work of campus-based communities of practice or networks elsewhere in Canada and beyond engaged in comparable initiatives to improve mental health and relate to substance use issues in the post-secondary context. HM|HC values dialogue, knowledge exchange and fruitful collaborative efforts with such groups, grateful for both occasions of learning from them and opportunities to contribute to their advancement.
