B.C. Students Increasingly Relying on Food Banks

Post-secondary students in British Columbia are increasingly relying on food banks to help supplement their tight budgets.  Many students are experiencing high costs of living, in addition to their tuition and student fees.  Students experiencing financial, emotional or physical hardships can access food bank services on some B.C. campuses.

An article in the Vancouver Sun states, “When we talk about the number of students facing food security issues, it’s clearly a major problem,” Yang said.
