Chinese Language Mental Health Support Group Starting

In hopes of reaching an increasing number of Chinese students attending post-secondary school in Nova Scotia, a mental health peer support group is launching. 

“…there are few mental health options in other languages, and that causes many Mandarin and Cantonese speakers to turn away from help. 

Chen says Chinese international students face stress and mental health issues for many reasons, including loneliness and isolation, workload, and parental expectations.”
