Webinar: Using the Okanagan Charter to Catalyze Action

April 27, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Building Momentum in Canada: Using the Okanagan Charter to Catalyze Action towards Healthy Campus Communities

The recent release of the Okanagan Charter: An International Charter for Health Promoting Universities and Colleges signals a challenge to universities and colleges to create even healthier campuses and healthier communities. Join the webinar to hear about the Charter and its development, and provide input about possible next steps in its activation within Canada.

“The Okanagan Charter is a powerful call to action for post-secondary institutions to embed health in our campus policies and services, to create environments which support health and personal development, and to become communities –Deborah Buszard, University of British Columbia Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the Okanagan campus

Who should attend:

Building healthy campuses takes cross-departmental, cross-disciplinary engagement, and thus Student Services individuals in roles outside of traditional health and health promotion positions are encouraged.
