In this video interview, Santa Ono, the new UBC president, speaks about the origin of his festive name, his roots in Vancouver, the strengths of the university and his vision for a vibrant, healthy campus culture. 

“Universities are incredibly resilient institutions and I don’t know of any university in their history that hasn’t had periods of challenge” Ono said. “In terms of how UBC can get even better, it’s a process that has to involve the entire community.”
