Alcohol harm reduction within campus community health promotion

Posted on July 5th, 2022

This webinar from Apr. 21, 2021 kicked off the PEP-AH 2021 western regional webinar series relating to concerns around adverse impact from alcohol use on campus. This first installment, hosted by HM|HC and facilitated by Dr. Tim Dyck, situates efforts to reduce alcohol-related harm in the campus context within health promotion-oriented initiatives to nurture community, increase literacy and attend to settings. In keeping with that emphasis, the session also formally introduces a new HM|HC resource: Harm reduction: a guide for campus communities

Presenter-facilitator

Tim is a Research Associate in knowledge exchange for University of Victoria’s Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research and a Co-Lead in the HM|HC Support Team. He is a contributing author to four HM|HC discussion papers on substance use policy on campus and to the HM|HC resource Harm reduction: a guide for campus communities.
