Why anxiety matters: Tools to promote healthy living

The learning objectives of this webinar are for participants to:
- Become familiar with the concept of anxiety, including understanding what causes anxiety, how anxiety presents itself, and how to know when anxiety can become a problem;
- Recognize common warning signs of anxiety at home, on campus, in the community, and at work;
- Learn a set of tools designed to reduce anxiety and better engage with your life; and
- Be introduced to a free and evidence-based application tool to help address “in the moment” anxiety.
About the speaker:
Dr. Katherine Martinez is a registered psychologist (2036) in British Columbia with over 20 years of experience in clinical work, research, and training. Dr. Martinez is currently on staff at the Vancouver CBT Centre where she specializes in cognitive behavioural assessment and treatment of anxiety, mood, and behavioural disorders in youth and young adults.
