This resource places harm reduction within a health promotion approach as a fitting application of its values and implications. Harm reduction is thus understood to be part of broad endeavors to advance well-being at a campus community level. It also includes strategies explicitly relating to members’ substance use in general as well as to situations of concern around specific substances. All such efforts fall within a frame of nurturing community, promoting literacy and attending to settings. Cited examples draw on a modest scan of what BC post-secondary institutions have done.
