Campus Suicide Prevention Info Session

This information session was held to assist applicants in learning more about best practices in suicide prevention and how to apply them in a campus context. Our expert panel were available for the first hour to answer any questions from the audience as it relates to suicide prevention and their respective expertise.

During the second hour of the Info Session, the HM|HC Support Team were available to provide any technical assistance regarding the application. Participants had the opportunity to learn and work collaboratively with one another in small breakout groups.

National Standard For Mental Health And Well-Being For Post-Secondary Students Info Session

For this information session, the topic of conversation is the National Standard of Canada for Mental Health and Well-Being for Post-Secondary Students — the first of its kind in the world. The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), in collaboration with CSA Group, has championed the development of this standard. This standard is a set of flexible, voluntary guidelines to help post-secondary institutions support the mental health and well-being of their students.

For this information session, the topic of conversation is Here2Talk, a free and confidential program that provides all students currently registered with a B.C. post-secondary school access to single-session 24/7 mental health support and community referral services via app, phone and web.
